How to Create A Desktop Shortcut

Step 1: Navigate to the Folder

• Open File Explorer and precisely navigate to the folder you intend to create a shortcut for.

Step 2: Create Shortcut

  • Right-click on the desired folder. (in my case I am selecting a subfolder within my documents.
  • From the context menu, hover over “Send to” and select “Desktop (create shortcut).

Step 3: Rename Shortcut (Optional)

• For a more descriptive name, right-click on the shortcut on your desktop, select “Rename,” and
input your preferred name.

Step 4: Enjoy Quick Access

• Your desktop shortcut is now a portal to the chosen folder. A double-click, and you’re seamlessly
transported to your destination.
